I built StepNDEX because documentation was taking too much time away from the work itself.
I'm an infrastructure engineer, and documentation is one of the most time-consuming parts of my job. Troubleshooting, meetings, and system setups all leave behind details worth keeping. Going back afterward to piece everything together from memory can take hours.
That's why I built StepNDEX. Now I can focus on the work, capture the process as I go, and write the documentation once I'm finished. The recording, screenshots, and searchable context are right there on my computer.
Instead of retracing every step or trying to remember what was said, I can return to what I captured and turn it into something useful. Less time reconstructing the process. More time getting the documentation done.
And it all stays local. My work, on my PC.
