Set up the recording

  1. Open Video.
  2. Choose the display to capture.
  3. Choose the audio source you need: microphone, system audio, the available combined option, or no audio.
  4. Select Record Video and perform the walkthrough.
  5. Stop the recording and wait for the final recording to be saved.

Watch the recording health

The video workspace provides a live preview, timer and health indicators for video, display, microphone, system audio and disk. Use these to spot a missing signal or a stale preview while recording.

Switch displays

The current capture implementation supports changing the selected display during a video recording. Use the display picker intentionally so the recording follows the screen you want to show.

After recording

The recording is published to a managed local folder after the MP4 is validated. Automatic enrichment prepares screen-text, transcript and other search artifacts. Open the library to follow progress.

Spoken-word search needs usable recorded audio and completed transcript processing. Screen-text search needs completed OCR processing. Neither should be inferred from a video file existing by itself.
